You had an exceptional dad. My dad wouldn’t have his wife out working either. But he discouraged me from going to college. For my freshman year I applied for a loan from our local bank. My father refused to co-sign as he thought I’d just quit and get married. The bank president agreed to sign for my loan. I have never forgotten that kind gesture for a young girl starting out. My father later told me how proud he was.
