Thanks for reading and writing back, Jane. I don't think it is as clear as that. The mother's life and ability to be a parent, society's ability to care for the child, the potential quality of life for the child are all considerations, too. I don't believe legislators can make laws taking all of these factors into consideration. This is a decision for the mother and father (if available ) with their doctors. And hopefully they get good counseling also.
