I so appreciate this article, fearing that I was a hopeless Pollyanna for telling comforting uplifting stories. While I loved the excitement of George RR Martin’s series for a while, eventually it became so disheartening I had to give it up. What’s the point if there’s no morality or hopefulness to it- just endless violence and destruction of every character you would start to enjoy.
